Ex. 100 tons = 60str(Champs) or Unearthly ST(100) (Marvel). If only it was that simple, other factors that led to value decisions were based upon average abilities (a norm in champs = a norm in marvel) and so forth. Some corrections were made since Marvel had some errors, mainly in the movement system. Ex. An invalid can do 44 yrds in 6 seconds , while a norm can do 88yrds(walking) while a norm in Champs does 12 yrds in 12 secs (this is a norm walk(basic movement). If there is a feeling on your part that the stat cant be right, then change it to what you like. This is main ly a way to get a basis of what the characters basic form looks like, add powers, add abilities. I try to stick to the comics... STR- converted by values given by both systems. DEX- figured from agility upon similar stats. CON- from endurance. INT- straight conversion from reasoning. EGO- straight conversion from psyche. BODY- from health. PRE- figured by stats. POWER, TALENT, SHIELD VALUES CONVERT: ======================================================================== First of all, it is impossible to list all the powers, so you will convert them by point value. You just purchase that many points of a certain power to match the marvel power. If there are devices or special effects, adjust the power so that the cost or the damage remain the same. The marvel descriptions are complete and no problems should occur defining what powers that each character has. However you will most likely need the Judges book or the Book of Powers to check with if no actual power value(rank) is given. For ex: For regeneration: The description for wolverine states he gains 3 health per turn. So you say "what?", just look in the Judges Book and you find that Regeneration is based upon the Endurance rank. SO, take the endurance value and purchase that much regen with it. TALENTS + SKILLS: ======================================================================= Most of the time talents and skills are listed, you just simply purchase that skill or talent. If you wish to update the character then feel free. Ex. If you know "globbo" shoots a gun, then buy it. If you know he speaks Russian, buy it even though its not listed in his description. For rank values of skills see the charts below. Skill level bonuses: ==================== You can use level bonuses upon rank levels(Marvel). For combat levels use the fighting rank, for INT-based use reason, DEX use Agility, etc... There are going to have to be some judgement calls made here. You should be able to get some kind of ranking for each power. There are tons of tiny little powers in Marvel which generalize easily into Champs powers. Most combat powers are given their own names. Simply buy the correct amount of (RKA, HA, EB, etc...) with whatever effects are listed(some may not even add to the cost) that are listed. Apply points saving measures whenever possible, (i.e. multipowers, EC's, etc...) if time allows. If you feel that it isnt righ t,change it, but try to stick close, and try not to (maximize) damage + abiliti es, BUT do maximize point savings. Simply use the following table to correlate the power in inches, damage, power cost, etc... and purchase that amount or that power with that point cost. If you feel an advantage is needed, then try to remain within that cost, just lower the damage, etc... same for disads. Normal killin !!!!!!
