I played with my cousin as an introduction of the game since it was the first time for him and in order to avoid the time consuming setup.. The game evolved to be pretty intense. We were draw (5-5) and my cousin (playing Uthuk) managed to destroy a two-member Citadel Guard unit and get the final (6th) victory point. The victory would be mine if in the last turn had tried more aggressive (risky) attack tactics instead of trying to hide away one weak cavalry unit. Nonetheless I enjoyed this game/scenario a lot!! Highly recommend it!

A great head to head battle scenario. A straight up battle is my favorite.

Played twice and enjoyed the scenario a lot.
Daqan - 2, Uthuk - 0.

Removed the vp lore cards and the chaos lord, roc, and golom cards, although that is not necessary.
Lore cards really tipped the scales, particularly early on.

After playing a number of games I found this analysis to be very accurate (http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1107192/commanders-quick-start-guide-battlelore-second-edi). I find kill victories to be much more exciting than capture point games.
